Selfishgenie Publishing is a boutique publishing house dedicated to providing a service for unknown, or relatively unknown, authors and allowing them to become better known. At the same time, we want readers to discover new work by new authors, while enjoying their reading experience.
Our philosophy is that readers can’t know if an author is worth reading until they have read one of their books, therefore those books need to be available for them to read. As a small publishing house we can’t take on every author who wants to be published, but we can take a few risks. We can give a few unknown authors the break they deserve, while at the same time offering readers the chance to discover the next big name in publishing before their books become expensive to buy. We hope that on this website you will find an author that you will enjoy reading and that you will help to spread the word and encourage others to take a chance on one of our books. For submission guidelines, please see our “Contacts” page. We also accept submissions for books that have been self-published (terms and conditions apply). We are open for submissions. |

What is a Beta Reader?
A Beta Reader reads a work before it is published (as we said - for free) then feeds back to the author on what they think of it. Yes - you get to tell the author what you think! The author then takes your feedback on board and uses it to imporve the work before it is published.
To become one of our team of Beta Readers, there are 3 simple steps:
1. Go to our contacts page and subscribe to our newsletter.
2. Email us at the address provided on the contacts page to express your interest, telling us what genres you like to read (it helps if you already know what genres our authors write).
3. Provide the feedback requested and also submit a review of the work to Amazon and Goodreads after publication.
Easy, isn't it?
