Forgotten Soldiers
Robert Cubitt has a new book out.
It was an operation they said couldn’t be done. “They” were almost right. But it left one man 1,000 miles from safety.
Operation Chariot was one of the most audacious commando raids of World War II. Even the Director of Combined Operations thought that no one would return from it. While other men died or were taken prisoner, Troop Sergeant Major Ernie Miller had other ideas.
Faced with a thousand miles of hostile territory, hunted by Nazi soldiers and the Guardia Civil, Ernie Miller did what commandos always do. He went forward. Will he make it to the sanctuary of The Rock?

Poetry And Prayers
AngieD is pleased to announce the release of her latest poetry anthology, which is spiritually themed.
"As children we relied solely on our parents for guidance and instruction, not looking too far into the future when we would venture out alone, with only the knowledge and experiences taught to us by them.
Whether we took note of anything would probably manifest in life after childhood and the help we would receive from family and friends along the way. Some of us may have had experiences learned from many Sundays in church and Sunday School and continued these into our adulthood, leaning on “His Everlasting Arms”, being taught that “He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”, and that we should trust in Him for “He is our eternal rock”.
I believe Our Lord has a sense of humour, or at least He made us with one, and so a few verses in this book are written with a little light humour, but I hope at least one of the verses contained therein will comfort, enlighten entertain or give the reader food for thought.
Enjoy

The Carter's Commandos Series Draws to a Close.
The long awaited ninth and final book in the Carter's Commando series, Operation Banshee, is out now.
The most mundane office job can suddenly become very, very dangerous when you have a reputation for heroism. So it is for Steven "Lucky" Carter when he finds himself sitting behind a desk in Northern Ireland.
An IRA informant has gone missing and Lucky Carter is asked to go and find him. It should
be a simple afternoon’s work, but it turns into a nightmare when things go badly wrong. The IRA don’t take prisoners and, if they do, it is only so they can interrogate them before they kill them. Is this one mission too far for Lucky Carter? It certainly looks that way.
This 9th book of the Carter’s Commandos series sees Lucky and his friends face an enemy
that is far worse than any they have faced before, if only because they don’t know what the
enemy looks like.
For fans of the Carter's Commandos series, this is a book you won't want to miss. Pre-Order Operation banshee now by clicking the button below.

There’s an old saying in the Army, ‘Never volunteer for anything’. It has been said many times, so why on Earth did Steven Carter ignore it?

Out Now - Book 8 of the Carter's Commandos Series
After 6 years of war, Steven Carter had settled into civilian life with all the comfort of a barbed wire vest. So, when an old comrade from 15 Commando turns up out of the blue, Carter welcomes him like a long lost brother.
Carter is tempted out of his boring civilian job to go to Australia, only to find himself diverted to the jungles of Malaya during what was euphemistically called “the Emergency”. Expendable and deniable, he and his friends are blackmailed into carrying out Operation Banyan: to capture or kill Chin Peng, the leader of the Communist Terrorists. And if they didn’t come back, then it was a matter of “Oh dear, how sad, never mind”.
If you have enjoyed the first 7 books in the Carter’s Commandos series, then this story of what Steven Carter did after the end of World War II is one that you won’t want to miss.
You can find out more about Operation Banyan by clicking on the cover image.

New Release from Chris Graham
Selfishgenie Publishing are pleased to announce the release of the second book in the Lena's Friends series, "Souvenirs".
The police are clearly satisfied they’ve got the right man. So why is Detective Inspector Nigel Ratcliffe going against his superiors’ wishes, and continuing to investigate the suspect? Is Roger Dixon-Johnson guilty of other offences the police are unaware of?
To the surprise of the offender’s lawyer, Selwyn Woodward, Ratcliffe has released the charged man on bail, but his every move is being watched.
Despite being aware of his arrest, high end escort Lena Fox has accepted a booking from Roger for dinner and what will inevitably follow. Why is she doing this, when Ratcliffe is watching him so closely?
A tip from Lena opens up other lines of investigation. It seems there’s more than one way of selling young women for sex, and Roger appears to be involved.
Meanwhile, in the bloodiest parts of Africa, where warlords place a minimal value on human life, blood diamonds and conflict gold are being traded and sent on their illegal route to the UK… A route which, unknown to him, or to the police, both Roger, and a client of one of Lena’s friends, is closely connected.
Even the ever suspicious DI Ratcliffe is taken by surprise at what his investigations uncover.
Book 2 of the Lena’s Friends series continues the investigations into Bristol’s hidden underbelly.
